I’m a big fan of Nix’s game. I think his experience as a five-year starter is a positive for him as he heads to the next level. He would be a plug-and-play starter in New Orleans. I’m not confident the Saints view Derek Carr as the answer.

JC Latham, OT, Alabama
The Saints’ uncertainty at offensive tackle could lead the team to take another player at the position in Round 1. Latham is a massive brawler with the strength, power and length to punish defenders in the run game.

Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
The Saints could go wide receiver here, too, but Brock Bowers feels like stealing at No. 14; I’ll repeat what I wrote back on Dec. 4, in my last mock draft: “In the last 20 years, 19 tight ends have gone in the first round. Five of those were selected in the top 10 (Eric Ebron, 10th overall in 2014; T.J. Hockenson, 8th overall in 2019; Kellen Winslow II and Vernon Davis, 6th overall in 2004 and 2006; and Kyle Pitts, 4th overall in 2021). The other 14 were drafted between No. 19 and No. 32. I mention this because I think Brock Bowers is special. In fact, he’s the No. 5 player on my big board. And maybe he’s different; he’ll be the tight end worth taking in the top 10.” For now, though, I have him going in the middle of the round to New Orleans.
Chris Trapasso (CBS)
Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
I’m of the belief the Saints desperately need more weapons on offense. Odunze has an alpha mentality on the perimeter and the skill set to back it up.
Josh Edwards (CBS)
Byron Murphy II, DL, Texas
Bryan Bresee and Byron Murphy II could be the future of New Orleans’ interior defensive line. Murphy does a good job of pushing the pocket and applying pressure on the opposing quarterback. Shrine Bowl director Eric Galko referred to Murphy as a top-15 pick on a recent episode of CBS Sports’ NFL Draft podcast, “With the First Pick.” The Saints have always prioritized the trenches.
Hvem ser du Saints vælger i første runde?
